Wow! I finally had some time to listen to this interview. There is a lot to think about here. I was particularly interested in Peter's thoughts about new business models for content development for tours - more in-house developed and maintained content, less of the very polished fully produced tours. Makes sense. The means of production are now not very expensive and content is relatively easy to create.

Of course the question is what constitutes good content! I agree -- the artist interview is key, but often I have learned more from a good teacher (whether that was an educator or curator) than from the artist -- so I think that depends. I also think that when we do interviews we need to ask the right questions of artists and curators and other museum professionals, questions that our museum visitors want asked - so who does the interview and asks the questions is important. But that's all obvious!

Also, I wonder if we should start thinking about conversations instead of interviews, and how we would articulate the difference between the two...

I was also very interested in the response to my own question about the future of the museum exhibition subsite. Smaller features on more works of art in the collection also makes a lot of sense!

It's good to hear how thinking about the visitor experience as educators (!) is what drives the technology!

Thanks Nancy and Peter! I will be listening to this again! Lots of good stuff...
